Spinosaurus Tooth – Kem Kem Beds, Morocco

Spinosaurus Tooth from the Kem Kem Beds in Morocco.

The Spinosaurus was a large carnivorous dinosaur that lived in Africa during the Late Cretaceous. It measured roughly 14 meters in length and had an estimated weight of 7.4 tonnes.

One of its most distinctive features was a large sail-like structure on its back, about 1.5 meters tall. Scientists believe this sail may have helped with temperature regulation or assisted in swimming, supporting the idea that the Spinosaurus was semi-aquatic.

Its long, narrow skull, about 1.75 meters in length, resembled that of a crocodile and was equipped with smooth, cone-shaped teeth. Evidence suggests that its primary diet consisted of fish, though it likely preyed on other dinosaurs as well.

Comes with acrylic display stand, can be removed.
