A bold and eye-catching Hematite coated Quartz specimen. This striking colouration is caused by a natural coating of Hematite, which has formed over the Quartz, creating a rich contrast against the underlying crystal structure.
Tinejdad, located in Morocco, is known for producing some of the best Hematite coated Quartz specimens with strong colour saturation and well-defined crystal forms. The region’s mineral-rich environments allow iron oxide minerals such as Hematite to deposit onto pre-existing Quartz crystals, resulting in these vivid and highly recognisable specimens.
Material from this locality is particularly sought after for its intensity of colour and the evenness of the Hematite coating.
Hematite coated Quartz is prized for its dramatic colour and unusual formation. The vivid red tones and textured surface make it a standout piece, while its natural formation adds to its appeal among collectors seeking something bold and distinctive.
