Classic Amethyst “Church” or “Cathedral”, natural geode formation with polished edges. Featuring sparkling, high quality, natural Amethyst crystals, direct from Ametista do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Amethyst “Church” formations are highly sought after for their dramatic scale and interior crystal density. Their combination of natural volcanic origin, vibrant colour, and commanding structure makes them statement pieces suited to both serious mineral collections and high-impact interior displays.
Ametista do Sul, located in Rio Grande do Sul, is one of the world’s most renowned sources of large Amethyst geodes. Formed within ancient volcanic basalt flows, these geodes developed as gas cavities that later filled with silica-rich solutions, allowing Amethyst crystals to grow inward over millions of years. The region is especially famous for producing these “cathedral” or “church” formations – hollow geodes prized for their symmetry, colour saturation, and scale.
Brazilian Amethyst from this locality is globally recognised for its strong purple tones and impressive crystal development.
Having a large piece of Amethyst in your home will keep your environment emotionally balanced and free from negativity. It is also the perfect crystal for de-stressing and meditation.
