Using Crystals To Amplify Your Sound Bath Experience

Sound has long been used to help guide meditation, with its roots traced all the way back to ancient civilisations such as ancient Egypt, where priests would focus on chanting and incantations to help promote healing.

These days, you don’t need a priest to come a-calling at home if you want to give sound therapy a try and you don’t even need to go and see a sound healing practitioner. You can easily practise the fine art of this meditation at home with the use of different singing bowls.

Amassing a collection of singing bowls of different sizes means you can create all sorts of beautiful sounds, featuring different tones and frequencies to influence the energy at home and within your body, depending on what you want to focus on.

All you need to do is pick a comfortable spot at home, set the mood with some low lighting, candles and aromatherapy, and then take a moment to think about what intention you’d like to set for your sound bath. Meditate on this while focusing on your breath, then start to play in whatever pattern feels most intuitive to you in that moment.

If you’re looking to really up the ante with your sound baths, you could consider bringing out your prized crystal collection as well. Crystals have their own energy and vibrations, renowned by many for their balancing and healing properties. 

You can charge them up and replenish their energy during the sound bath, or position them on your different chakras to help clear any blockages and leave you feeling refreshed.
