Pretty In Pink: Colour Inspiration For Interior Design

The look and feel of your home interiors is, of course, largely dictated by the colour palettes you choose. You can instantly change the energy of your living spaces by switching up the different tones and shades, depending on what you want to achieve, whether that’s something calm and tranquil in the bedroom, or something more energetic for the kitchen.

One colour that many have shied away from in the past but which has been currying serious favour over the last few years is pink.

An inherently stylish colour, pink has for too long been associated with the feminine and while it will certainly always have connotations of this kind, it’s perhaps time to recognise that pink has other qualities that lend itself brilliantly to home decor, as well.

Its beautiful warm tones can really enhance your living spaces, uplifting them and making them feel incredibly welcoming, while making rooms feel softer, calmer and more peaceful without you having to fall back on tried-and-tested shades like blue.

And don’t forget that pink is also a very versatile colour, pairing well with all sorts of other tones, everything from greys and blues to the likes of green and orange, so you could devise something truly unique that adds warmth and vibrancy to your home.

If you’d rather not go all out with the colour, you could consider adding pops of pink with crystals of different kinds. There are so many pink gemstones out there that you’re really spoiled for choice – and you may find it quite hard to make up your mind!

Take your pick from pink amethyst and mangano calcite to pink banded onyx, rose quartz, scolecite, lepidolite, rubellite… the list goes on and on! You’re sure to have a brilliant time positioning your new favourite pieces around and about the house.
