How To Create A Crystal Shadow Box

With Christmas just around the corner, there’s certainly no time quite like the present than to start thinking about what you’re going to give friends and family this year.

Taking the time to make your own gifts will always be very welcome by one and all, with loved ones truly appreciating the thought and effort that goes into DIY Christmas presents… and if you’re currently stuck for ideas as to what to make, what about designing different crystal shadow boxes tailored to suit your various recipients.

If, like Jesus, you’re blessed with carpentry skills, you could go so far as to make the actual shadow box itself – and there are various tutorials online you can follow if this is something you’d like to try.

As impressive as this would surely be, there are only seven weeks till Christmas, so it may be that you’re out of time to get the hammer and nails out. But the good news is that there are plenty of frames and boxes readily available that you can use to house the crystal collections you’ll be giving out this year.

Once you’ve got your boxes, you can start to get creative! Think about your recipients and decide which crystals would suit them the best. Ask yourself what they’re hoping to achieve, what they’d like to manifest for their lives in the future, what it is they may need help with… and base your crystal decision on your answers.

Keeping it simple, using just one or two crystals per box, can create a truly striking design, or you could pick one type of crystal and build a 3D effect with the help of your trusty glue gun.

Choosing complementary colours of stone is another great way to bring your box to life… but bear in mind that your recipient may want to hang their box on the wall, so you might not want to make them too heavy.

We’d love to see your Christmas crystal gifts this year – so drop us a line to let us know how your creations turn out.
