The news source spoke to mineral collector Peter Megaw, who confirmed that high-end crystals are now viewed in much the same way as fine art, with size, colour, flawlessness and transparency all taken into account when finding the perfect piece.
He said: “They have these giant amethyst geodes from Brazil. I’m talking the size of an efficiency apartment or an SUV and they break these things in half. You can turn a handle so the thing opens and closes like a clam under the ocean.”
So there you have it! If you really want to embrace the crystal craze, going all out and finding something huge to stand in the hallway could be the perfect way to go about it!
